Whether you're carrying long-held burdens or sensing there's more to your story than what meets the eye, psychedelic experiences, when held in a safe and skillful container, can catalyze transformation.
Start where you are
Know your intentions
Before stepping into expanded states, let’s take time to tune into what truly matters to you. Whether your intention is clarity, healing, connection, or simply curiosity, giving voice to it creates a sense of safety and trust within. In this space, you’re not chasing answers, you’re opening to what wants to emerge.
- Claiming Your Readiness -
What is drawing me to work with psychedelics at this point in my life?
Is there something within me that longs for healing, clarity, or change?
Have I taken the time to understand how this medicine might affect me - physically, emotionally, and psychologically?
Am I informed about the risks, contraindications, and preparations needed for a safe and supportive experience?
Am I open to the possibility that healing may require me to walk back through the places I once avoided?
Can I trust that the medicine will guide me with purpose, even when the path is difficult?
What possibilities am I most looking forward to in this experience?
What parts of it feel uncertain or bring up fear?
Do I have the right people, tools, and systems in place to integrate and thrive after this experience?
If not, what’s my plan to find what’s missing and build a reliable foundation of long-term support?
What am I ready to commit to in order to turn insight into lasting change?
What small, steady steps can help me live in closer alignment with who I’m becoming?

-Creating the Container: Preparing mind, body, and soul-
self-Care: Cultivating Calm
Get good sleep: Let your body rest and restore in the nights leading up to your journey. Deep rest is one of the best ways to support emotional clarity.
Move gently: Simple movement - like stretching, walking in nature, or dancing - helps you stay connected to your body.
Breathe and slow down: A few minutes of breathwork or meditation each day can settle your nervous system and help you meet yourself more fully.
Unplug when you can: Step back from screens and avoid media that leaves you feeling anxious, scattered, or less than.
Write what’s stirring: Journaling is a gentle way to meet your inner world and make space for whatever wants to be seen.
Notice your dreams: Keep a notebook nearby. Dreams can offer symbols or insights that whisper what your waking mind may miss.
Tending your connections
Tend to your relationships: If there’s tension with someone close to you, consider having a gentle conversation or taking space with intention. Creating peace—internally or externally—can help your heart feel lighter.
Communicate your needs: Let friends or family know that you might be more inward or offline during this time. Giving yourself permission to unplug is part of the preparation.
Invite others into your space: Share your journey with people you trust - psychedelic experiences friends, a therapist, or a groups for integration - so you have a touchstone to come back to.
Protect your energy: Notice where your energy feels drained or scattered, and gently step back from people or environments that pull you out of your center.

Landing Gently
Give your body a break from alcohol, cannabis, and other recreational substances.
If caffeine is part of your daily routine, try reducing it gently so your nervous system can find its natural rhythm.
Choose nourishing, whole foodsfresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and clean proteins.
Avoid foods that create inflammation, like processed snacks, sugary treats, fried meals, or anything that makes you feel heavy or sluggish.
Drink plenty of water and soothing herbal teas. Bone broth or mineral-rich broths can be deeply grounding.
Depending on the medicine and your guide’s advice, you may benefit from fasting or eating very lightly the day of the journey.
Get clear on your ‘why’: Take time to reflect on what’s calling you to this experience. What do you hope to explore, shift, or heal? Let your intention come from the heart, not the ego.
Name your fears: It’s completely natural to feel nervous. Writing down your fears can help loosen their grip and create space for curiosity.
Find your grounding tools: Identify what helps you feel safe and steady - this might be a breath practice, a phrase, a memory, or even a hand on your heart.
Make room for every part of you: Doubt, fear, excitement, resistance, they all belong. The more welcome each part of you feels, the more inner harmony you can carry into the journey.
Let go of expectations: The experience may not unfold how you imagine and that is okay.
Give yourself space: Block off at least 1–3 days after your journey for rest, reflection, and solitude if possible. There’s no need to rush back into the noise of life.
Line up support: Consider who you spend time with in the days following your experience. Can they hold space that allows you to explore your journey?
Create a gentle environment: Limit social media and steer clear of places or conversations that feel too fast, loud, or misaligned with where you are.
Stay rooted in self-care: Keep nourishing yourself with rest, water, movement, and journaling. These practices help your insights land.
Let your experience express itself: Draw, write, sing, walk - however it wants to move through you, let it. Creativity can open doors that words can’t.
Honor the unfolding: Realizations may come in waves, and so might tender emotions. This is part of the process. Be kind with yourself.
Live the wisdom: Ask, “How can I honor what I received?” Let your experience shape small choices and gentle shifts in your daily life.
